My name is Daniela
I have been a licensed and practicing physical therapist and massage therapist for over 10 years. My treatment approach focuses on increasing the connection between mind and body, to increase awareness of how one physically feels and how one moves, how one can deepen the mind-body connection to achieve more mindful movement and deeper body awareness.
I came into bodywork through dance, thinking about the biomechanics and physics of movement. After dancing and practicing Pilates and Gyrokinesis for some years, I completed a doctorate of physical therapy at MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA, and became a licensed physical therapist, with focused training on manual therapy and body mechanics. To provide a greater level of manual therapy for my clients, I studied massage therapy at Cortiva Institute in Watertown, MA, and became a licensed massage therapist. I am passionate about human anatomy and biomechanics, and it's that passion that informs my treatment approach and the reason I am a massage and movement therapist.
